Demographics of members who nominated Dmitry for VP (pt) position
In total, I received over 80 nominations, of which 68 (that met the deadline) were submitted to the Election Committee. This was more than I expected, especially considering I had less than two weeks to gather the required 50-plus signatures to qualify.
It was encouraging to see that my messages, posted on this website, resonated with so many people. It's even more meaningful to know that these messages were shared across various groups and agencies, as shown in the pictures below. This not only boosts my confidence but also honours me as I represent you all.
Thank you to everyone who nominated me. I look forward to working with all of you!
Additional thanks for those of you who provided comments and endorsements.
What’s next ?
Getting my name on the ballot however is only the first step, and probably the easiest. Now, we have some work to do to win in this tough race with other Candidates, for most of whom this is not the first electoral campaign.

Action 1: Learn about your candidates
This week, PIPSC published the list of candidates along with their biographies and election statements - worth the read. I invite you to read all of them. Short (just 400 words long) as they are, they provide a good picture of each candidate background and priorities.
Action 2: Check out “Dmitry - Your Voice at PIPSC” portal
My bio and election statement are published here, and it includes a link to my brand new election portal that has been specifically set for union-related matters: www.gorodnichy.ca/dmitry.
I invite you to familiarize with the structure and the existing content of this portal:
If there’s anything there that needs improvement on the website, or if you have any other comments related to the website please let me know - either in Comments below (publicly visible) or by emailing them to me.
Action 3: Share your comments and concerns
One of the central objectives in my portal is dedicated to gathering Your Comments and Concerns related to the Union and the issues you wish me to address.
Several comments are already posted there, some of which are quite impactful. This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard. I hence invite you to email me your comments and concerns using the contacts provided below.
When submitting a comment for publishing, please indicate how you'd like it to be signed (initials or anonymous) and include your group and region.
Moving Forward
There is much more I plan to work on with you, and this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to explore the portal in the meantime. The French version is still catching up, but automatic translation is already available for French-speaking colleagues.
Yours
Dmitry
